Things I've Seen While Cooped Up in My Apartment During the Stupid Storm and the Stupid, Annoying Aftermath
OK, I am so bummed about this whole crap of a storm and how it laid a big turd on my plans.
There is absolutely nothing I can do to change it or make it better and I'm disappointed and pissed.
Completely wasted emotions in this case but they're here nonetheless.
During the storm a car started to drive on 102nd street toward Amsterdam and I guess the driver just kind of gave up and I saw footprints leading away from the driver's side and the car just remained there, in the middle of 102nd street off Broadway for two days.
TWO days!
OK, so I saw that.
I went outside during the storm to experience the snow and wind for myself and saw snow and wind.
I looked up to my apartment and saw my Christmas lights in my window.
OK, I saw that.
I saw a kid fall down in the snow. It was hilarious.
I saw that.
I watched the TV shows: Hoarders, Fatal Attractions, Hope Floats, Clean House, HSN, QVC, lots of News, the Weather channel, Rudolph's Shiny New Year, The Millionaire Matchmaker, What Not to Wear, Mystery Diagnosis, Dog Whisperer, Jerseylicious-God help me- and probably some other shows that I watched for like a second and then got even more bored than I was already.
Through it all my standby has been Howard Stern on Sirius. Thank god for you, Howard and the history of Howard Stern. What a sanity saver.
I finally got to hear the origin of the sound of Beetlejuice vomiting. Thank god for that, I'd always wondered where that came from.
I can check that box.
So now, here I am; bored, pissed, disappointed, stir crazy, and not looking forward to New Year's Eve (eh, what else is new?).
So storm of December 2010, I hate you. You suck and nothing you do can ever make up for the time lost.
BUT...if you help me book a big industrial or national commercial then maybe just maybe we can be on speaking terms.
Otherwise, storm of December 2010, you suck, I hate you and don't bother me.
